In the lead-up to the release of his new album "Longshot," alt-country/folk artist Chris J. Norwood continues his weekly performance at The Barley House.
At 11 songs, the debut album deals with themes of love, dealing with the past & making peace with the present. The most prominent theme, however, is family — & it shows even in the production of the album. Norwood's wife, Carrie, sang background vocals & he wrote most of the songs in the time leading up to his daughter's birth. But it is Norwood's father — who tragically passed away of an attempted suicide when he was younger — who influenced Norwood's music & his desire to pursue his musical passion.
The 11-track album "Longshot" debuts on August 11.
