THE OPPORTUNITY

Known for her elaborate hand-beaded and embroidered gowns, fashion designer Esé Azénabor has created designs for national & international stars such as country star Kelsea Ballerini, Latin superstar Thalia, Taraji P Henson, Tara Banks, Michelle Williams, Vivica A Fox, & many more. In 2021, the fashion designer opened the doors to her newly renovated and expanded atelier and flagship store located in the Design District. Additionally, she launched her new “Lotus” Evening Collection & pieces from her New Bridal Collection. 

In order to promote her new collections and showroom, Azénabor came to CultureHype with the goal of establishing her name as the “go-to” for custom gowns in Dallas.

THE DEVELOPMENT

To showcase her expanded showroom and new collections, Azénabor hosted a VIP private fashion show where attendees included media & Dallas fashion elite/celebrities. The event boasted Azénabor’s designs, sounds of a harpist, h’or douerves and cocktails. Leading up to the event, CultureHype conducted media outreach & scheduled press interviews.

THE RESULTS

Throughout the campaign, CultureHype focused on telling the story of Esé’s career as a fashion designer while promoting her new collections & showroom. This resulted in multiple in-depth interviews that ran in print & online. The features not only talked about her new showroom & collections, but provided insight into who Esé is & how she became who she is. Her VIP fashion show was a huge success with multiple attendees from all industries, including some of Dallas’ top fashion tastemakers. Overall, CultureHype was able to increase Esé’s brand presence on a local, regional & national level.
