Magic Hour + Go Easy
THE OPPORTUNITY
Molly Mathias came to us to help elevate brand awareness for her Flagship store in Bishop Arts and promote the opening of her second concept store, Magic Hour in North Dallas. Magic Hour is a brick & mortar & online store with the mission to provide handcrafted curated goods from small batch makers. The new location, located at Grandscape’s billion dollar development, was handpicked by the development’s team along with other small businesses as one of the only concept shops chosen to be featured up North.
THE DEVELOPMENT
In addition to successfully marketing the new store opening, we also strengthened the Magic Hour brand name & amplified Molly's press for her flagship Bishop Arts location during this campaign & told her story as an entrepreneur. The shop had a strong online & social media presence already, but we were able to amplify her small businesses’ brand through creative storytelling with media placements and strategic influencer marketing tactics.
We were able to host a successful Grand Opening event right before things got shut down in Texas in March, before Molly chose to close the concept store indefinitely due to the pandemic. While this was a challenging situation to face as a small business, we were able to continue to offer our support with a personalized approach.
ADAPTING TO CIRCUMSTANCES + THE RESULTS
We were in constant touch with Molly as circumstances surrounding COVID-19 evolved, helping her come up with new social media series like the Magic Half-Hour on IGTV where her and her mom discussed topics like the benefits of sage while the lockdown was fresh. Our team helped launch new self-care kits to buy online or pick up in stores & helped her achieve her highest online sales goal to that date. We worked alongside Molly to emphasize the importance of shopping local through key media placements before she reopened her store in Bishop Arts to the public. We were also able to help our client communicate store hour changes as she slowly reopened to the public, keeping her top of mind to local consumers.
A NEW CONCEPT
After a successful campaign with Magic Hour, Molly approached CultureHype with an exciting new opportunity: helping her open a second store & brand new concept in Dallas called Go Easy. Go Easy is a new shop focused on women’s self-care. With products ranging from skin care & CBD products to sexual wellness & luxury smoking accessories for women, there’s a product for everyone to find new ways to say thank you to themselves. CultureHype is currently working on a PR & influencer marketing campaign which has included a socially-distanced soft opening event in Bishop Arts. After successfully testing her concept store in Uptown, we are now spreading the word about the new innovative shop around town.
