The month of May was designated Mental Health Awareness Month as a way to bring awareness to the way mental health can have an effect on all of us. It’s important for people to be educated on mental health to reduce the stigma surrounding it, and make people feel open to talking about what they’re going through.
It’s easy to put our health on the back burner when life gets overwhelming with work, family, finances, and all our responsibilities. But no matter how hectic our lives get, taking care of our mental health should always be a priority. Life's many stressors can exhaust us, so making time to take care of ourselves is a necessity. Even small things in our everyday life can significantly improve our well-being.
